CJC-1295 DAC vs No DAC
DAC is not part of the peptide. It is an attachment that changes how long the molecule stays in circulation, and both forms are in our range.
What DAC actually is
DAC stands for drug affinity complex. It is not a different peptide and it is not a different sequence — it is an added component that binds albumin, the most abundant protein in blood plasma. Binding albumin keeps the molecule in circulation far longer than it would otherwise remain.
So CJC-1295 DAC and the no-DAC form share the same GHRH-analogue core acting at the same GHRH receptor on pituitary somatotrophs. The difference is duration, and duration is a property of the attachment rather than of the peptide.
The no-DAC form has other names, and that is where the confusion starts
Searches for this comparison are tangled because the no-DAC form is sold under at least three names. In our own catalogue it is listed with the synonyms CJC-1295 no DAC and mod GRF (1-29), and it is the CJC component of our CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin blend.
"Mod GRF (1-29)" is the more precise name: GRF (1-29) is the first 29 residues of growth hormone-releasing factor, and "mod" refers to the amino-acid substitutions made to resist degradation. Calling it CJC-1295 without DAC is the market's shorthand, not the chemistry's. It is also why sermorelin keeps appearing in the same searches — sermorelin covers that same 29-residue span.

Formula, weight and CAS for the DAC form are from PubChem CID 91971820. We do not list figures for the no-DAC form because we do not hold a verified record for it, and inventing a CAS number is not something we will do to fill a cell.
What the published trial reported
The reference study is for the DAC form: a randomised placebo-controlled double-blind trial in healthy adults aged 21 to 61 (PMID 16352683). After a single injection it reported dose-dependent increases in mean plasma growth hormone of two- to ten-fold persisting for six days or more, and mean plasma IGF-I of 1.5- to three-fold for nine to eleven days.
Those durations — six days, nine to eleven days — are the clearest published illustration of what the albumin-binding attachment does. A measurable effect still present more than a week after one injection is the DAC component doing its job.
That trial studied the DAC form. It is not evidence about the no-DAC form, and we are not going to transfer it across. Duration is precisely the variable that differs between them, which makes it the last thing that could be assumed to carry over.
Why the blend uses the no-DAC form
Our CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin blend pairs the no-DAC CJC with ipamorelin, which acts at a different receptor — the ghrelin receptor — and so belongs to a different class. That is the design of the product: one GHRH analogue and one secretagogue in one vial.
No literature exists on that blend as a blend. The two citations behind it are the CJC-1295 DAC trial above and ipamorelin's 1998 characterisation (PMID 9849822), and neither describes the combination. We would rather say that than imply a combined record exists.
The blend is stocked as a 5/5mg vial, a 10/10mg vial and a 5/5mg pen. The DAC form is stocked on its own as a 2mg vial.
Supply note. Peptiq supplies research compounds for laboratory research use only. We are not a pharmacy and we do not supply licensed medicines. Where a licensed medicine is named on this page it is named to draw a distinction, not because we sell it, and nothing here is guidance on use.
Frequently asked questions
What does DAC mean on CJC-1295?
Drug affinity complex. It is an added component that binds albumin in blood plasma, which keeps the molecule in circulation much longer. It is not a change to the peptide sequence.
Is CJC-1295 no DAC the same as mod GRF (1-29)?
Those names refer to the same thing. GRF (1-29) is the first 29 residues of growth hormone-releasing factor, and "mod" refers to substitutions made to resist degradation. Our catalogue lists both names against the CJC component of the CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin blend.
Do you supply both forms?
Yes. CJC-1295 DAC is stocked as a 2mg vial on its own. The no-DAC form is supplied as the CJC component of our CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin blend, in 5/5mg and 10/10mg vials and a 5/5mg pen.
